Gujarat is the sixth-largest state in India (196,024 km2) and the ninth-most populous. The states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh are around the state. From the Arabian Sea to Pakistan province in the west, the state’s coastline extends. With a population of 6.35 million people and a land area of 471 km2, Ahmadabad is Gujarat’s largest city. Gandhinagar is the capital, 23 kilometers north of Ahmadabad. Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot are the major cities in Gujarat.
